Dr. Alicia Rodríguez Zurita was born in S / C de Tenerife in 1967 and completed her university studies in that same province, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of La Laguna in 1992. After passing the MIR decided on the Maternal and Child Hospital of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to carry out the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After finishing his specialty, he decided to stay in this Hospital as an associate specialist for several years, until he finally requested the transfer, obtaining a place at the University Hospital of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Dr. Rguez. Zurita emphasized during his training in obstetrics assuming responsibility for high-risk pregnancies and obstetric consultations specialized in diabetes and fetal pathophysiology.
Its incorporation to Ginefem provides quality in the control and surveillance of high-risk pregnancies as well as in the routine gynecological control.
Since joining the HUNSC, she has been part of the team of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit in the area of control of high-risk pregnancy, hospitalization of obstetric patients and the delivery room.
She is a member of the Spanish Society and of the Canary Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has level III ultrasound training from the Obstetric Gynecological Ultrasound section of the Spanish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
