Incontinence Treatment, prolapses, ano-rectal dysfunction.

– One of the most common dysfunctions in women is stress urinary incontinence, which may be due to multiple causes such as poor postpartum recovery, bad daily habits, excessive weight gain in pregnancy, long or short expulsion during delivery, etc..
– Between 40 and 60% of women have some form of urinary incontinence after menopause although the causes often derive from previous years of maturity.
– With specialized physiotherapy specific techniques can be applied to stabilize and even correct these pathologies that will worsen over time and which greatly affect the quality of life of women both personally, socially and psychologically.

Pain in Pregnancy

– During pregnancy a number of changes occur in the female body to accommodate the new being that is taking shape.
– Sometimes this can lead to a small lack of balance, aches, pains, etc.. usually in the area of the back, pelvis and legs. There is much that a specialized physical therapist can do to alleviate future mothers from this type of discomfort.

Post Delivery

-After delivery, the mother’s body should recover as well and as quickly as possible. There can be physical consequences both in pregnancy as in delivery than can affect the abdominal wall, the spine, pelvis, muscles and organs of the pelvic floor…
– Unfortunately, returning to normality is usually done by performing inadequate conventional gym exercises that create too much abdominal tension thus facilitating the emergence of the diseases listed above (prolapse, urinary incontinence, coccyx pain, poor healing of episiotomy or caesarean , …).
-Postpartum recovery is directed to all the women who want to recover in the most appropriate way possible without hurting the body both internally and externally. It is intended to achieve the following objectives:
• Strengthen and tone the abdominal muscles.
• Improve the muscles of the pelvis and pelvic floor.
• Strengthen lumbar musculature.
• Reduce, firm and tone the female body.
• All this plays an important role in the recovery the mother’s self esteem.

Sexual Dysfunctions:

The pelvic musculature plays a fundamental role in the sexual life of every woman. Some sexual problems such as anorgasmia, dyspareunia, vaginismus, and vulvodynia … can be treated with physical therapy because they have physical origins.
